Emily Elder comes to Mental Health Colorado after graduating from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience in 2016. She competed, and was chosen for a year-long Public Interest fellowship with Mental Health Colorado.
Elder’s a Colorado native and she’s committed to making mental health a priority.
“I have several people in my family who have mental health issues. I’ve seen them before treatment and after treatment and I want to be a part of helping the cause. Eventually I want to be a mental health provider.”
Elder had previously tutored writing students and mentored college freshmen on writing for college courses. In 2015 she interned with a psychologist and with a neurosurgeon exploring mental disorders and shadowing surgeries. In 2014 Elder was a research assistant at “For Impact, The Suddes Group” in Colorado Springs.
