GUN SAFETY PANEL DISCUSSION

October 17, 2018 @ 6:45 pm - 8:15 pm

Thirteen states now have red flag laws or extreme risk protection orders that allow for temporary removal of guns from an individual at risk to themselves or others. Colorado passed a red flag law in the state House last May, but it was killed in a Senate committee.

Colorado Faith Communities United to End Gun Violence is honored to sponsor a special panel featuring experts who can help answer these questions:

  • Do these laws save lives or are they just a cover for taking guns?
  • What services need to be in place for policies like this to be effective?
  • What are the programs and policies we should support in this fall’s election?
  • What questions should we be asking candidates?

MODERATOR – Andrew Romanoff, President of Mental Health Colorado and former Speaker of the Colorado House
