Mental Health Proclamation Day: May 1

May 1, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

Nearly half a million Coloradans don’t get the mental health or substance use treatment they need, and the shortage is most prominent in rural parts of our state. Mental Health Colorado’s theme for Mental Health Month is “Navigating the System: Access for all Coloradans.” Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg, Mental Health Colorado interim President & CEO Nancy VanDeMark, Colorado Department of Human Services Executive Director Michelle Barnes, Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council CEO Doyle Forrestal will declare May as ‘Mental Health Month.’ We will also announce a new resource for Coloradans starting their recovery journey.
