Amy Shaw joined Mental Health Colorado in 2022 after many years of experience in Business Development and Donor Relations. Amy believes that building relationships is the key to success and has proven that time and time again during her career. She comes to us from the Action Center, a human services non-profit that helps people in the community of Jefferson County break the cycle of poverty to become self-sufficient. During her time there, she was able to help grow the Development department and surpass budget goals, and is excited to do the same here at Mental Health Colorado.
Amy cares deeply about mental health, especially for the LGBTQ+ community, focusing on youth, as well as people with substance use conditions experiencing homelessness.
When Amy isn’t at work, she spends her free time creating pottery, or is outdoors hiking, camping, gardening, or exploring the mountains. She lives in Lakewood with her partner and their border collie lab.
