Lila is a current undergraduate student at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a rising junior working to complete a double major in Psychology and Economics. Her passion has always been centered around the improvement of the criminal justice system, so Lila is motivated to pursue a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology after graduating college.

Lila wants to dedicate her career to working on behalf of those with mental disabilities that are ushered into the justice system. She believes that this practice only produces inequality, not justice, as it worsens both crime rates and the wellbeing of the individuals caught in the system. Lila Jordan is joining Mental Health Colorado as a research intern with The Equitas Project, focusing on the implementation of models to redirect people with mental illnesses out of the justice system in order to facilitate their mental health recovery.
