Over the past 17 years, Lisa Vega-Fields has been actively committed to working on behalf of students and their families in the Jefferson County Public School District. She continuously applies diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in supporting diverse student and family populations with the appropriate, programs, resources, and community-based health and social services necessary to support achieving their goals, gaining success, and ensuring their safety, independence, health, and wellbeing.

Lisa is an advocate for promoting mental wellness and ending the stigmatization of mental illness due to the loss of her father by suicide, her own challenges, and witnessing family members and youth struggle with mental health and substance issues. She enjoys quality family time, walks with her chocolate lab, volunteering, and any opportunity to be on a beach!
