Preston is a graduate student at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He is completing the final year of his studies within the Master of Social Work degree program. Previously, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University. As a professional social work student, he is working to serve the needs of individuals, families, groups, communities and organizations through advancing well-being and social justice.

Preston has a passion for empowering and advocating for vulnerable and targeted individuals within Colorado based on race or ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation, mental or physical ability, income or education level, religious or spiritual beliefs, legal status, or geographic location. He has direct service knowledge supporting urban and rural youth, individuals experiencing homelessness, individuals battling addiction, and minority students pursuing higher education. Within these various populations, Preston has witnessed the barriers to accessing quality mental healthcare treatment in Colorado.
