Stephanie Walton joined Mental Health Colorado in 2018.

She has worked at several state and national nonprofit organizations, including the National Conference of State Legislatures where she oversaw a program to assist states in implementing positive youth development approaches in children and adolescent service programs.

More recently, she worked at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) State Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership (STEPP), where she was a key member of the team administering the Amendment 35 (tobacco tax) grants program which funded tobacco control efforts throughout the state of Colorado.

She completed her master’s degree in political science at the Center for New Directions in Politics and Public Policy at the University of Colorado – Denver in 2016. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.

Stephanie grew up on the Western Slope and is a fifth-generation Coloradan. Stephanie lives in Lakewood with her husband and loves playing in the outdoors in her free time.
