Jonathan Singer is the Senior Director of Policy Programs for the Boulder Chamber, where he leads public policy initiatives focused on economic vitality, housing, workforce development, public safety, and community well-being. A trained social worker with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from Colorado State University, Jonathan began his career in child welfare with Boulder County before moving into elected office and public policy roles.
Jonathan served over eight years in the Colorado House of Representatives, where he chaired the House Public Health Care & Human Services Committee and became a leading advocate on behavioral health, suicide prevention, child welfare, substance use disorder treatment, and health care access. Throughout his legislative career, he worked to strengthen Colorado’s behavioral health system, expand access to care, support vulnerable children and families, and promote evidence-based approaches to some of the state’s most complex social challenges.
Today, Jonathan continues to work at the intersection of policy, systems change, and community impact, bringing together business, government, nonprofit, and community leaders to address issues ranging from housing and homelessness to workforce development and behavioral health. His career has been guided by a belief that lasting progress requires both compassion and practical solutions grounded in data, collaboration, and lived experience.
