“Mental Health Awareness Month 2026 banner"

From May 17–21, the Denver City & County Building and Meow Wolf Denver will light up green as part of Mental Health America’s national “Light Up Green” campaign for Mental Health Awareness Month.

Across Colorado and the country, communities are coming together to raise awareness, encourage connection, and recognize that mental health is part of everyone’s story.

At Mental Health Colorado, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive with access to care, support, dignity, and belonging.

Throughout May, we are continuing to advance policies, programs, and advocacy efforts that promote healthier minds across the lifespan for all Coloradans.

Double Your Impact During Mental Health Awareness Month

Thanks to matching partner Alpine Bank, every donation made throughout May is doubled up to $15,000 to help advance mental health policy, strengthen systems, expand access to care, and build healthier communities across Colorado.

Whether you give $10 or $1,000, your support helps pass laws, change practices, and build a movement for healthier minds.

Take a Photo and Help Spread Awareness

We invite Coloradans to visit the green-lit landmarks, snap a photo, and join the movement during Mental Health Awareness Month.

If you participate:

  • Tag Mental Health Colorado on social media
  • Use the hashtag #MentalHealthColorado

Together, we can help make mental health more visible, valued, and supported across every Colorado community. Learn more about Mental Health America’s national Light Up Green campaign.
