After Melissa’s brother died by suicide, she was left grappling with grief, anger, and unanswered questions. Over time, she channeled her pain into advocacy, working with Mental Health Colorado to fight stigma, support suicide prevention efforts, and testify for policies aimed at saving lives. Through advocacy and community involvement, she found purpose while continuing to navigate her own healing.
