Mental health summit address funding shortfalls

Pitkin County officials are leading a two-day charge this week to address mental health services throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Reporter Alycin Bektesh sat in on the opening session of the summit yesterday and has been covering the area’s mental health services for some time. Mental Health Colorado is active in the state legislature. Our mission is to engage the public and policymakers on mental health issues. Our policy team tracked 40 bills in this year’s legislative session:  we supported 17 bills, all but four passed. We also opposed four bills, all were defeated.
