“Great time to call distant family members and find out how your ancestors lived through trying times. Kids love to hear about who they are and what states/countries their people came from.” -Mary Ellen
“I’ve picked up my guitar for the first time in years. I’m fortunate to still have a job where I can work from home, so I’ve donated what I can and listed things I’m grateful for daily.” -Aubrey
“As a ‘person of years’ I know how important human contact is. My coffee group and Friday bridge no longer gather. I’ve pledged to call at least 3 “others” every day, just to be sure they’re okay. We’re recalling the polio epidemic and how that altered our lives as youngsters. Our advantage is that, though far removed, we’ve ‘been there’ and know that we’re resilient and, mostly, will come through this. It’s human connection, on the phone or on-line, that is crucial in these times. A sense of community. And of hope.” – Sue Mullins
Hang in there, and don’t miss a chance to practice kindness.
