Where will you sleep tonight?

What would your mental health be like today if you didn’t know where you were spending the night?

Stable housing is a number one requirement for improving health outcomes. And for many individuals with mental health and substance use concerns, maintaining stable housing is a persisting challenge.

Communities that invest in supportive housing have reduced reliance on some of the most costly parts of our system. It’s far cheaper—and better for the mental health of the community—to invest in supportive housing than it is to manage these challenges through first responders, emergency departments, and the criminal justice system.

We’re asking you to call your legislators and tell them to support House Bill 20-1035, which will make it possible for rural communities to address the need for housing. Mental Health Colorado is supporting this effort, and we hope you will too!

Sincerely,
